Principal's welcome

The Herioter Hub is a dedicated platform to connect Herioters around the globe and I hope today you will sign up to become a member of this forum.

An education at George Heriot’s School is a unique bond shared by over 10,000 former pupils. This platform will enable you to reach out to classmates, create or join specialist industry, interest or sports groups, share research papers for peer review, post jobs, promote your business and become actively involved in the Heriot’s community. It is a platform for you, used only by Herioters.

I am proud to be at the helm of George Heriot’s School and look forward to meeting you in due course.

With warm wishes

Gareth Warren

Herioter President message

Hello, I am very delighted to be succeeding Morgan Jamieson as the next Herioter President.

I was one of the first girls to join the school in 1979. Due to my choice of subjects, I was the only girl in my registration class (for three years!). However, my classmates were kind and welcoming. You can be confident that you will be met with a warm welcome if you plan a return visit to the school, or participate in one of the events, e.g. a coffee morning, reunion or evening drinks reception.

From my regular meet-ups with my gang from the Class of ’82, I am amazed at the diverse routes we have taken, in our choice of career, hobbies and where we live – which provides for an animated conversation each time we catch up!

I do hope there will be the opportunity to meet as many of you as possible over my two-year term, to learn about what the school meant to you, and the friendships that you forged in the school clubs and playground. I’d really welcome a two-way conversation about how we shape the role of the Herioter President, so that the pupils of yesteryear can support those of today and tomorrow (FPpresident@george-heriots.com).

See you at the Coffee Morning soon.
