The Development Team were delighted to welcome back best friends Iain King (1952) and Hamish Stears (1951) to tread the boards of the drama department again!
Whilst at school, the boys were heavily involved in the stage management of several school productions, including The Admirable Crighton in 1948 and The Kingmaker also in 1948. Revisiting the drama hall where they shared so many of their fond childhood memories was a special moment. Indeed Iain said his "jaw was on the floor" when he pulled back the curtain to step out on stage again for the first time in over 70 years.
If you feel inspired to revisit your favourite Heriot's classroom, we would love to have you in. Just get in touch with the Development Team on dev@george-heriots.com or 0131 221 6716.
