George Heriot's School Teachers, Sarah McPherson and Michelle Mackay will take on the challenge of walking a combined 460km from Porto to Santiago de Compostela in August 2022. The challenge will see both teachers walk around 20km over 12 days in the Portuguese and Spanish summer heat!

The challenge is in aid of George Heriot's Trust Foundation400 which covers the full cost of attending Heriot's for Edinburgh children who have been bereaved of a parent, and specifically supports families in substantial financial need. As Primary Teachers at George Heriot's, Sarah and Michelle know the difference the financial and emotional support the Foundation makes to children and their families.
