Sailing in for a visit.

The Development Team had the pleasure of welcoming back Former Pupil Hugh Dickson (1981) while he was visiting Edinburgh for a brief holiday.  Hugh regaled us with stories of his time at Heriot's and how much it has influenced his life after school, and how the ethos of 'I distribute Chearfullie' has followed him through life.

After leaving Heriot's Hugh studied at Edinburgh University, initially not travelling very far! However, life was to change dramatically with his career taking him around the world, living in many, many different countries. More recently Hugh has discovered the joys of the open sea and has been learning how to sail, another Herioter trait of lifelong learning in action.

If you would like to return to the school as a Former Pupil, please contact the Development Office on dev@george-heriots.com and we can make an appointment.
