Please join us next Wednesday 29 January, for a very special January Former Pupil Coffee Morning.

Not only is this our first get together of 2025 but we are over the moon to welcome Former Pupil Jim McDonald (1970) back to Heriot's. Now a published author, Jim will be joining us to host a short poetry reading from his recently published poetry anthology, Crying for Kharkiv, written in support of the people of Ukraine, released by Pegasus Publishers in 2024.

Jim has many fond memories of his time at school and after Heriot's he went on to be a researcher in the field of Ecophysiology working in Edinburgh, Sweden and Aberdeen before retiring in 2014.

All royalties go to the charity: Hope and Homes for Children/ Ukraine - Signed copies will be available on the day for £7.99, payment can be made by cash.

Taking place in the Council Room from 10am to 12pm please do come and join us. Jim will kindly hold a 20 minute reading during this time and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

To attend,  please register on the events page.
