Former Pupil News |
It was a delight to welcome back Gordon Paterson (1959) and his wife Beth to Heriot's yesterday.
Gordon was full of memories from school which included many former pupils; the late Bill Grant (1962), George Ross (1963) and Norman Anderson (1959). The group spent lots of time together socialising within the Morningside Scout Group, Bruntsfield Church and as they got older playing Badminton together at weekends.
As they grew older, married and found new homes, the-meet ups became less frequent but the bond just as strong.
Upon leaving school, Gordon took on an apprenticeship in joinery and latterly worked at Holyrood for a short stint, before persuing his hobby and becoming a Hi-Fi shop manager. In his later years in employment he worked in wholesale distribution in Perth and Kinross.
Gordon and Beth have lived in Kinross for the last 40 years and have two children together: Graeme and Louise.
We look forward to seeing you at June Day Gordon.
