Class of 1979

Members of the class of 1979 gather at the Cannonball Restaurant

Thank you to Richard Thompson for supplying words and images.

We (Class of 1979) had an excellent meal at Cannonball Restaurant right next to the Castle esplanade. It is owned by the Continis (of Valvona and Crolla fame). There were 26 of us in total this year with new names already suggested for next year so we hope numbers will increase.

This year's attendees were:

Alan Sneddon, Alasdair Morrison, Alastair Ranken, Ali Cameron, Mike Hall , Bruce Pringle, Bruce Walker, Dave Clarke, Dominic Crolla, Dougie Hamilton, Dougie Livingston, Duncan Liddel, Gordon Ross, Ian Cochrane, Ian Gray, Ian Thomson, Kenny Milne, Kingsley Thomas, Lawrence Dickson, Midge Whyte, Robert Aitken, Richard Petherick, Ross Walker, Steve Grant, Stuart Davidson and Richard Thompson.

As a spin off, Bruce has organised a golfing group for the 'class of 79' so we should see a bit more of each other during the year. There is also a trip planned to travel to Parma to watch Edinburgh Rugby at the end of April as most of us, if not all, are keen rugby fans. We do, of course, have a British and Irish Lion in our midst.

If you are class of 1979 and would like to connect with the group, please contatc Richard Thompson.
