The Development Team was thrilled to be joined by Former Pupil Ed Robertson (1983) recently. Ed shared many memories of his school days during his visit, with one particular story capturing our attention. Having usually ridden to school on his motorbike, one morning Ed decided to “borrow” his dad’s Audi Quattro for the day, parking it on the North side of the terrace which was absolutely against the school rules. During school break time, a swarm of pupils had gathered round the iconic car. So dense was the crowd, you could barely see the vehicle anymore! The crowd dispersed as Deputy Head teacher Mr Roy approached the scene. Expecting the punishment of a lifetime, Ed turned to meet his fate only to be met by the line “Very nice car Robertson, but I am sure it won’t be here tomorrow”!
If you are inspired by Ed's visit and, as a Former Pupil, would like to return to the school, please contact the Development Office. dev@george-heriots.com.
