We are all George Heriot end of campaign film.
As we approach the end of 2024 the School is proud and thankful to every single person within the Herioter community who came together to ensure the success of the We are all George Heriot campaign.
The campaign not only achieved the goal of raising £98,640 for new six-year Bursary places at the school but finally reached an amazing £135,500 in donations. This income will go directly towards securing bursary education for young people who would not otherwise be able to afford this life changing opportunity.
Along with the fundraising success, we witnessed the coming together of the Herioter community through many successful events, to name a few; the 24 Hour Run400 event, the 400 mile Cycle to London, two wonderful evenings of Drama, the Pipe Band Recital, Alexander and Eloise’s Ben Nevis climb, and June Suttie’s Marathon Run. Many other events engaged current pupils, former pupils, current and former parents and current and former staff, a space for every Herioter to get behind the campaign.
This great celebration and commemoration of 400years since George Heriot’s Will was published proves that our Philanthropic legacy remains robust, and that the transformative power of education remains integral to our philanthropic story.
Please watch the close of campaign video which encapsulates this wonderful year better than words can.
